
After qualifying from St Thomas' Hospital Medical School in 1990, Fred worked in a number of teaching hospitals across the UK including Oxford and Bristol before being appointed as a lecturer at Imperial College in 1994. During 10 years training towards specialist qualifications in surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, Fred has a gained wide experience across women's health. He completed surgical training and examination for admission to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The focus of Fred's clinical and research interest has been reproductive endocrinology.
In 1999 he left the NHS to focus on nutrition and human performance. Fred’s clients have included England Rugby, the England Cricket Team, Chelsea, Tottenham and Fulham football clubs and Olympic athletes. Fred also acts as a consultant to the sports nutrition supplement industry.
Fred writes regularly in the popular press and continues to be an expert resource for ITV and BBC news.
